America's Dashboard (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates americadashboard.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information is and is not collected when you visit our site, and how any collected information is used. We are committed to transparency — we collect as little data as technically possible.
1. Information We Collect
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service based in the EU. Plausible collects:
- Page URLs visited
- Referrer URL (the page that linked you here)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Country of origin (derived from IP, but the IP is never stored)
Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not generate persistent identifiers. All data is aggregated and anonymous.
Our hosting provider, Netlify, may automatically log IP addresses, request timestamps, and request URLs in server access logs. These logs are retained by Netlify for less than 30 days and are used solely for security, abuse prevention, and infrastructure monitoring. We do not access or process these logs.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
- User accounts, login credentials, or passwords
- Payment or financial information
- Cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking
- Tracking pixels, browser fingerprints, or advertising identifiers
- User-generated content, form submissions, or comments
We have no databases containing personal user data.
3. How We Use Information
The limited information described above is used to:
- Understand aggregate site traffic patterns (via Plausible)
- Maintain site security and prevent abuse (via Netlify)
- Improve site content and user experience
Information is never used for advertising, user profiling, or sold to third parties.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
7. Data Retention
- Plausible Analytics: Aggregate data retained indefinitely (contains no personal data)
- Netlify server logs: Retained for less than 30 days by Netlify
No databases containing personal user data exist on this site.
8. Your Rights
All visitors: You have the right to know what data we collect (this policy serves that purpose) and to contact us with privacy questions.
California residents (CalOPPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Regarding Do Not Track signals: our site does not track you. Plausible Analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, effectively honoring Do Not Track by design.
EU/EEA visitors (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (site security via Netlify logs). You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Since no personal data is collected or stored by this site, most rights are satisfied by default.
CCPA: While we may not meet CCPA thresholds, we voluntarily respect your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
9. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Data Security
Our site is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit. We maintain no databases with user data. Our third-party service providers (Plausible and Netlify) maintain their own security practices as described in their respective privacy policies.
11. International Data Transfers
Plausible Analytics is headquartered in the EU and processes data within the EU. Netlify has global CDN infrastructure; server logs may be processed in various locations. Netlify maintains GDPR compliance commitments as described in their GDPR/CCPA page.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
